Welcome to airway, respiration, and ventilation. In this module, we’ll be covering the assessment and management of airway and respiratory emergencies as well as specific conditions you’ll come in contact with in the field and on the exam. From the basics of the mechanisms of breathing to the more advanced interventions, you will take to stabilize and manage an airway. We will prepare you to face one of the most common emergencies seen in the field.
Stabilization and management of the airways is the first and most important thing the first responder will address when coming in contact with all patients. This is why you understand the principles found in this module are critical to preparing you for the field. As always, follow along in the attached workbook and fill in the blanks and questions as you go. At the end of this module, there will be a set of questions that you want to complete as well.
This will give you a resource to quickly review and reference back to. We’re dedicated to helping you not only pass your exam, but we want to make sure that you feel confident in your knowledge and skills. So grab a pen, sit back, and let’s talk about airway, respiration, and ventilation.
